Feb. 2 Meeting Topic: “Cine-critters”

MAF meetings are at 7pm on the 1st Tuesday of each month at WNIT TV studios at 300 W Jefferson Blvd, South Bend, Indiana 46601. Free and open to the public! Each meeting includes a Making Movie Magic presentation after our order of business.

Andy Swisher is a recent graduate of West Virginia University with a BFA in Prosthetic Make-up and Creature Fabrication. In this presentation he will discuss the use of insects and small animals in film shoots. He has worked with critter for several local films including TRIPPIN and THE DORK OF THE RINGS.

    MISSION STATEMENT
    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance (via grants) to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
