    MISSION STATEMENT

    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking.

    This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.

Fiscal Sponsorship

Securing funding for independent films is difficult, so MAF provides fiscal sponsorship for MAF members. In general, the MAF member can seek fiscal sponsorship for any aspect of filmmaking including filmmaking, screenwriting, acting, etc. by submitting a proposal to MAF for review. All films for consideration must be not for profit and cannot have investors attached.  Contact us at midamericafilm@gmail.com.
