    MISSION STATEMENT

    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking.

    This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.

    MAF Salons/meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the St Joseph County Public Library, 304 S. Main Street, South Bend, Indiana at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!

Fiscal Sponsorship

Securing funding for independent films is difficult, so MAF provides fiscal sponsorship for MAF members. In general, the member can seek fiscal sponsorship for any aspect of filmmaking including filmmaking, screenwriting, acting, etc. by submitting a proposal to MAF for review. All films for consideration must be not for profit and cannot have investors attached. If approved, MAF will oversee the financial management of this funding. Contact us at midamericafilm@gmail.com.
