About
MAF is a 501C3 not for profit organization which provides education, casting calls, screenings of regionally made films, screenwriters group, fiscal sponsorship, and more. MAF meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at WNIT in South Bend, Indiana at 7:00 p.m. EST
MAF Mission Statement
Mid America Filmmakers brings the art of film to mid America (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This is achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance to residents of mid America who recognize noncommercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
Meetings
MAF meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at WNIT in South Bend, Indiana at 7:00 p.m. EST . A MAF evening starts with a quick and efficient meeting that lasts for around half an hour, followed by a “Making Movie Magic” filmmaking presentation with a different topic each month. Next, everyone has time to chat and network. It’s very informal group and there are conversations on film projects, acting, screenwriting, or even the latest favorite film release. If you come to a third meeting, we graciously ask that you join MAF.
