    MISSION STATEMENT

    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking.

    This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.

    MAF Salons/meetings are held on the first Tuesday of each month at the St Joseph County Public Library, 304 S. Main Street, South Bend, Indiana at 7:00 PM. Everyone is welcome!

Education & Mentoring

MAF provides opportunities for aspiring young filmmakers to explore the art of filmmaking. The members present at schools and community groups, let truly interested individuals be a PA (Production Assistant) on a film set, and offer other related educational activities.  For more information contact Tim Richardson, Acting Chair, MAF Education Committee at rpfilms@gmail.com.
