MAF provides opportunities for aspiring young filmmakers to explore the art of filmmaking. The members present at schools and community groups, let truly interested individuals be a P.A. “Making Movie Magic” Filmmaking Series

Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. EST the first Tuesday of every month and hour-long “Making Movie Magic” presentations follow at around 8:00 p.m. with expert guests. Topics have included editing, acting, costuming, prop creation, puppetry, make-up, crowdfunding, visual effects, script writing, documentary filmmaking, stop-motion animation and more.

We meet at WNIT TV studios at 300 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601.

    MISSION STATEMENT
    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance (via grants) to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
