Meeting on May 6

The Next MAF meeting is this Tuesday, 7pm on May 6. Everyone is welcome! MAF meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at WNIT TV studios at 300 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601 at 7:00 pm.

Our guest is Doug Clark. Doug will share clips from some of his films and his thoughts on why documentary filmmaking is important means of giving a voice to the voiceless.

Douglas Clark is a filmmaker who began his career as an award winning songwriter and commercial producer, winning Song of ’95 from the Gospel Music Association in Nashville and several gold and silver Addys for his jingle and television commercial work. His interest in the human struggle has always been at the forefront of his songwriting and now his filmmaking. He has filmed several short documentary stories about the Occupy Wall Street movement and over the past three years he has filmed in Benton Harbor, Michigan – capturing the story of economic development and income disparity in Michigan’s poorest city.
