MAF Nov. Meeting Topic: “What WE Can Learn From Watching Cinema”. MAF president Dave Orvis will host a 24-minute YouTube video followed by a discussion. The video is from a series by Cinema Tyler. He has produced a bunch of videos “What I Learned From The Making Of: [various movies]“. Dave will show the video in which Cinema Tyler talks about various aspects of getting a particular movie made (he’ll keep the title of the classic movie secret until tomorrow night) and then get member feedback on the points he brings up.

    MISSION STATEMENT
    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance (via grants) to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
