    MISSION STATEMENT

    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking.

    This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.

MAF member cast in role, film festival winners

MAF president Tim Richardson recently won “Best Local Film” in the first annual Three Minute Film Fest in Mishawaka for his short film “I’m Sorry Llama,” a parody of the Eminem song “Cleanin’ Out My Closet.”  Local filmmaker Jim Yocom won “Best Film” with “Tempus Incognito.” There were 30 films in the festival.
