MAF Meeting summary for Feb 5th, 2008

The latest MAF meeting was held on February 5th, 2008. And things went off without a hitch. Really. It’s not like we showed up at Fiddler’s Hearth to find we had no reservations and the entire place was packed. And then we had to send our President, Scott Dokey, out into the rain to find us a meeting place. And then in no way did we end up in a back corner of the South Bend Public Library amongst old periodicals trying to hold our meeting without disturbing the rest of the library (and judging by the looks we got from some of the library’s patrons, I’m not too sure we were all that successful at that last part). Yes, there is NO WAY any of that could have happened, right?

Okay, all of that really did happen. And oddly enough, this comes at a time when we had been thinking of moving our meeting to someplace a bit more spacious, and since the event went quite well once we got to the library, it’s assumed we will be going back there for our next meeting. Only this time we’ll meet in a conference room in the basement, not amongst old periodicals (which were actually quite interesting. I just found out we landed on the moon! Way to go science!) Anyhow, for a summary of what happened once we got to the library, click through on the link!

MAF Meeting Summary

Harvey Putter Update

Tim Richardson (of Richardson Productions, no less) gave a brief update on Harvey Putter. For the first time, nearly the entire cast of HP gathered to do a read through of the script, and perform initial costume fittings, and everything went quite well, and much fun was had by all. Don’t believe me? Well then check it out. There’s a summary video on YouTube. To watch it, CLICK HERE.

Tim also announced they are still looking for a primary location from which to shoot the film. If you know of any place with high ceilings and plenty of floorspace that could be used, let Tim know. He can be reached at the Harvey Putter website.

And one last thing, Harvey Putter is now listed on the Internet Movie database. You can check it out HERE.

Beta:V Update

Tara Eary gave a quick update on her upcoming Feature Film, Beta:V. The first Pre-Production meeting was to be held after the MAF meeting, where she would be updating the crew on where they stood in regards to funding the feature.

Cannibal Lovers Update

Tare Eary gave a quick update that CL would be doing some reshoots the first weekend of March, and that everyone was a go for the reshoot. She’ll be checking out the location were it was originally filmed to make sure everything was set for the reshoot.

Benevolent Banana Update

Michael Kouroubouroutteouttes (pronounced just like its spelled. Really, it is. And I did not exaggerate the spelling of his name. I would never do that to someone as cool as Michael Kourouoryoubetitsalongnameous.) Michael K. thanked Kevin McIerney for doing a GREAT job as the Benevolent Banana in his upcoming short titled “The Benevolent Banana”, which would screen for the first time at the MAF screening on Friday Feb 8th.
