February’s guest speaker is Daniel J. Waterhouse who is presenting “Tell the Story.” He will share a recent short film and discuss it:

“This particular video is an example of local legend that cannot be found in history books, but is kept alive from one generation to the next in story. Although some parts can be researched and verified, others are not. I felt it was important to record these legends before the passing of further generations and are lost forever. “The treasure of our past, is the gift to the future.”

I started telling and writing stories when I was 9 or 10 years old but did not discover the camera until much later in my thirties when I found roles in local commercials. I followed up with study in acting at Theatre of Art in Los Angeles and directing at UCLA, under director/producer Robert Thompson.

The last film I had a principle role in is titled Virginia, which premiered in 2012 and put me in scenes with Ed Harris and Jennifer Connelly. The same year I wrote an e-book, in the historical romance genre, “Night of The Gypsy Moon.”

My most recent live performances were by invitation at The National Storytelling Festival, Jonesborough,TN. and Journeyman Distillery in Three Oaks, MI.
