MAF May 5 Meeting – Topic “Making of a Documentary

MAF meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at WNIT TV studios. Free and open to the public! South Bend filmmaker Christopher Kosinski will discuss the creation of his documentary film The Healing Wall which recently screened at the River Bend Film Festival and Heartland Film Festival.  “The Healing Wall” is a story about the development of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. and it’s unforeseen ability to heal a nation from one of the most controversial conflicts in U.S. history.

    MISSION STATEMENT
    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance (via grants) to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
