June 7 MAF Meeting Topic: “Using Cinema Techniques for Local Video Production”

Meeting is 7pm-9pm, Tuesday, June 7.  MAF meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at WNIT TV studios. Free and open to the public!

Our guest presenter is Kyle Hufford. Kyle is Midwest born and bred. He has been working in the video and media production industry for over 10 years. Kyle’s background is quite eclectic, from video production to graphic design and even 5 years as a television producer and promotions director. After years in the industry Kyle went back to school to get a Masters in Digital Storytelling from Ball State Univ. to pursue interests in higher ed. Now as the General Manager of FiveCore Media and an Assistant Professor of Communication at Goshen College he gets to pursue both of his passions.

    MISSION STATEMENT
    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance (via grants) to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
