August 6 Meeting: “Indiana Filmmaking Tax Breaks Bill”

A conversation regarding Indiana House Bill 1070 and what has happened surrounding that bill which is to give future filmmakers a tax break in Indiana. Led by Nathan Bechtold, President of Indiana Filmmakers Network, Rob DeCleene, President of South Bend Convention & Visitors Bureau, and Dale DeVon, a local representative in Granger.

Mid America Filmmakers meetings are the 1st Tuesday of each month at WNIT TV studios at 300 West Jefferson Boulevard, South Bend, Indiana 46601 at 7:00 pm. Open to the public!

    To bring the art of film to “Mid America” (Indiana and bordering states) by expanding awareness of and interest in the social and cultural impact of independent filmmaking. This will be achieved by providing educational, creative and financial assistance (via grants) to residents of Mid America who recognize non-commercial film as an important art form through which ideas are expressed, and by awarding grants and providing fiscal sponsorship for film projects that would not otherwise be possible.
