MAF Member Devi Snively will premiere her short film “Death in Charge” on MAY 11, 2008 at 7:00 PM on the AFI CAMPUS in LOS ANGELES, CA. Going to be in the LA area and want to attend? Then RSVP HERE.

For those who don’t know or who just can’t remember, “Death in Charge” is the short film Devi did as a part of the AFI’s Directing Workshop for Women. You can see more about the film at the Death in Charge website. Check it out! Congrats Devi!

Has your acting been called campy? Then maybe you should attend Acting Camp! That’s right, you can learn to act and camp at the same time! Want some details? OK, you got it, here they are:

Acting Camp sponsored by New World Arts and Center Stage Academy (for ages 8 to 17):

Campers will receive morning instruction in choreography/movement, voice, and acting techniques in classes divided by age. Afternoons will be spent in rehearsal for the end of camp performance of scenes. Space is limited, please call to reserve your spot 574-538-7398. (Students will need to pack a lunch)

Summer Camp
June 9th – 13th
Daily 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

*Final performance on June 13th at 5:30 p.m. at New World Arts

Early Registration May 26th (receive $25 discount)
Camp Fee: $150, $100 for each sibling (cheaper than daycare!)

*Some age exceptions may be made depending on the maturity of students.

David Boyer will be taking auditions for his film short ‘ Valentines Day’ on Saturday, May 17^th, 2008 from Noon to 4pm at the Mishawaka-Penn Public Library in the “Friends Room”. Valentines Day will be a 3-5 Minute Film, and is a non paying, non union film. Participants will receive a copy of film.
